2024 World Youth Championships Finals

Today, the 2024 World Youth Championships concluded with an electrifying finals, showcasing the best young bowling talents from around the globe. The intense competition culminated in finals across Singles, Doubles, separate Girls' and Boys' Teams and Mixed Teams categories, with participants displaying remarkable skill, determination and unforgetting bowling spectacle for the fans.


Women's Singles Final


The Finals Day begun with the Women's Singles final. It was a clash between Finland's Stella Lökfors and Singapore's Arianne Tay. Tay dominated the match from the start, demonstrating precision and consistency. In the first game, Tay secured a convincing victory with a score of 216 against Lökfors' 168. The second game saw a similar pattern, with Tay outscoring Lökfors 199 to 156. Arianne Tay's superb performance earned her the Women's Singles gold medal.

Men's Singles Final


The Men's Singles final featured a showdown between two Europeans - Germany's Paul Purps and Sweden's Carl Eklund. Purps showcased exceptional form, taking control early in the match. He won the first game 212 to Eklund's 189 and continued his dominance in the second game, scoring 236 against Eklund's 201. Paul Purps' outstanding performance secured him the Men's Singles gold medal.

Mixed Team Final


The Mixed Team final saw Korea battling against Sweden. Korea started strong, winning the first game 248 to 192. Sweden bounced back in the second game with a score of 236 against Korea's 201. However, Korea regained their momentum in the decisive third game, securing a 267 to 219 victory and clinching the Mixed Team gold medal.

Women's Team Final


The Women's Team final was a contest between Singapore and Malaysia. Even though Singapore was in the lead for the most of the frames, several crucial mistakes (especially in game 1) didn't allow to create a possitive momentum for the rest of the game and Malaysia emerged victorious. They won the first game 221 to 211 and dominated the second game with a score of 236 against Singapore's 190.

Gold Medalist: MALAYSIA


Men's Team Final


The Men's Team final pitted the defending champions Czech Republic against the USA. The Czech Republic took the first game 234 to 224, but the USA came back strong in the second game, winning 224 to 184. In a thrilling third game, the Czech Republic narrowly edged out the USA with a score of 204 to 180, securing the Men's Team gold medal.

Men's Doubles Final


In the Men's Doubles final, the USA duo Brandon Bohn and Jacob Bockstie faced off against Germany's Paul Purps and Max Lorenz. The German pair dominated both games, winning the first game 226 to 166 and the second game 244 to 207. Their impressive performance earned them the Men's Doubles gold medal and the second gold medal for Purps, adding to his triumph in Singles.

Women's Doubles Final


The Women's Doubles final featured the USA team Katelyn Abigania and Annalise O’Bryant against Sweden's Maja Engberg and Nora Johansson. Sweden's narrow victories secured them the Women's Doubles gold medal.
