On Sunday, at the Fiesta Bowling Center in Incheon, Korea, the top 4 doubles teams in the Girls' and Boys' events competed in the best-of-three semifinals of the 2024 World Youth Championships.
2024 World Youth Championships Girls' Doubles Semifinals
The Girls' Doubles semifinals featured matches between Korea and the United States, and Sweden and Singapore. Korea’s Yeyoung Kang and Daeun Lee fought valiantly but ultimately had to concede to the United States' Katelyn Abigania and Annalise O'Bryant, losing 0-2 (201-212, 180-194). The other semifinal extended to three games, with Sweden’s Maja Engberg and Nora Johansson defeating Singapore's Arianne Tay and Colleen Pee 2-1 (190-237, 290-266, 247-227).
2024 World Youth Championships Boys' Doubles Semifinals
In the Boys' Doubles semifinals, the matchups were Czech Republic vs. the United States and Slovakia vs. Germany. Germany’s Max Lorenz and Paul Purps defeated their Slovakian opponents Martin Malcho and Šimon Jaroš 2-0 (141-242, 234-238) to advance to the finals. The other semifinal also went to three games, with the United States' Jacob Bockstie and Brandon Bohn overcoming the Czech Republic's Ondrej Trojek and Lukáš Jelínek 2-1 (236-201, 212-223, 210-194).
The Doubles finals in both categories will take place on July 18th, along with all other event finals.

Today, the qualification round for the Girls' Teams event will take place, while two Boys' squads are set to compete tomorrow.
