The Swedish Bowling Federation has named Jesper Svensson and Nora Johansson as Sweden's Bowlers of the Year for 2024, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the sport and their remarkable achievements throughout the season.

29-year-old Jesper Svensson earned his fifth Bowler of the Year title after an extraordinary year on the PBA Tour.

In September, he secured his 12th PBA title at the Storm Lucky Larsen Masters, becoming the first Swedish bowler to win the prestigious event. Svensson also achieved notable finishes in other PBA Tour competitions, including second place in the PBA Playoffs, third in the PBA World Championship, fourth in the PBA Scorpion Championship, and fifth in the Roth/Holman Doubles.

Nora Johansson made history with a record-breaking performance at the European Championships. The 21-year-old captured four gold medals, including victories in all three individual competitions, and medaled in all six events—a feat unmatched in Swedish bowling history for both men and women.

Johansson’s success didn’t stop there; she also won gold in the doubles and silver in the mixed event at the U21 World Cup, rounding off a spectacular season as she transitioned out of junior competition.
