Verity Crawley, a distinguished bowler and coach, has been awarded the prestigious Dick Weber Ambassador Award at the 2024 Bowl Expo.

This award, established in 2005 to honor the legacy of bowling legend Dick Weber, who was a global ambassador for bowling, dedicating his life to elevating the sport's image and encouraging participation across all ages, recognizes athletes who exemplify grace and dedication both on and off the lanes, promoting the sport of bowling in a positive light.

Past recipients of the Dick Weber Ambassador Award include notable names such as Kyle Troup, Shannon O'Keefe, Jason Belmonte, and Norm Duke, each of whom has made significant contributions to the sport of bowling.

"Dick Weber is a true icon of our sport, and those who have received this award before me are legends who have inspired me in many ways," Verity Crawley said on social media. "I cannot believe I am now a part of this list."

Hailing from Bournemouth, England, Verity Crawley's bowling journey began at the age of five. Her talent quickly became evident, and by the age of twelve, she was representing her country in international competitions. In 2012, Crawley moved to the United States to further her education and bowling career at Webber International University.

During her time at Webber International, Crawley secured three National Championships. In 2017, she joined PWBA tour, where she made an immediate impact, finishing second in the Rookie of the Year standings.

In 2021, Crawley clinched her first PWBA title, followed by a second win in 2023. Her consistent performance has earned her the title of UK Female Bowler of the Year, and she was recently inducted into the UK Tenpin Hall of Fame.
