Russo Claims Second PBA Title at Scorpion Championship

Matt Russo clinched his second PBA Tour title at Strobl Arena, Thunderbowl Lanes, Allen Park, Mich. in an all-two-handed PBA Scorpion Championship stepladder final.


In the PBA Scorpion Championship, Russo defeated Packy Hanrahan 228-192 in the title match during the World Series of Bowling XV.


The stepladder finals showcased five two-handers and four left-handers, with Matt Russo dominating the final. Despite initial discomfort with lane conditions, Russo managed to secure victory through consistent performance against Hanrahan, who initially showed strong momentum but faltered, allowing Russo to secure a comfortable victory.


Swede Jesper Svensson, the No. 5 seed, defeated Jason Belmonte in the opening match but lost to Keven Williams 184-235 in the second game.


PBA Scorpion Championship Stepladder finals results

Russo now leads the PBA World Championship standings, aiming for further success in the tournament. Russo's next challenge is the PBA Shark Championship, where he will return as the No. 5 seed.
