Singapore’s Shayna Ng made a powerful return to the top of the podium, capturing her third PWBA career title — and first in six years — by winning the 2025 PWBA Go Bowling Topeka Open on Saturday night at West Ridge Lanes in Topeka, Kansas.

Ng entered the stepladder finals as the No. 2 seed after dominating much of qualifying but slipping slightly near the end. In the semifinal match, she took on Bryanna Coté of Arizona, who had already climbed past two opponents from the fifth seed. Ng stayed in control with a strong opening run of strikes and didn’t let Coté catch up, winning 226–192 to move into the title match.

In the final, Ng faced off against Breanna Clemmer of South Carolina. Ng started with six strikes in a row, while Clemmer kept pace with spares and then a string of four strikes. Both players stayed close heading into the final frames, but a missed 10-pin by Ng in the ninth frame opened the door. Clemmer needed to finish strong, but back-to-back misses ended her chances. Ng closed with 236 to Clemmer’s 202, sealing the win and earning the $20,000 top prize. Clemmer took home $10,000 for second place.

Coté finished third and received $7,500 after earlier wins against Lindsay Boomershine and Verity Crawley. Her match against Crawley was especially exciting, ending in a 224–224 tie that went to a roll-off. Crawley’s shot missed the mark with a six count, while Coté struck to advance. Crawley finished fourth, earning $6,500. Boomershine rounded out the top five with a $5,500 prize.

IFor Ng, the win was emotional. Surrounded by her teammates from Singapore, the moment of lifting the trophy brought tears. It marked the end of a long wait and the reward for continued effort and perseverance on tour.

Ng now stands as the early points leader in the 2025 season — a meaningful start during the PWBA Tour’s 10th anniversary year. While it’s still early, her strong performance sets a high bar going into the next stop on the calendar.

The tour now moves to Las Vegas for the USBC Queens, the first major event of the season, starting May 14. Before the action begins, the 2025 PWBA Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place, honoring Liz Johnson and Marianne DiRupo as this year’s inductees.
