Malaysia’s Sin Li Jane concluded her stellar 2024 PWBA season by winning the Tour Championship at Thunderbowl Lanes in Detroit. This victory marks her second major title and fourth win of the season.
Sin previously won PWBA Bowlers Journal Rockford Open, U.S. Women's Open, and PWBA Greater Nashville Classic.
Sin narrowly defeated Jordan Richard, 215-209, in a nail-biting final match, securing the $50,000 top prize.
Sin's journey to the title included a semifinal win over Missy Parkin, who made history by reaching the major finals as an alternate. Parkin, who replaced Diana Zavjalova after she had to withdraw, finished in third place. Parkin shared her prize money with Zavjalova, whom she replaced. Both Parkin and Zavjalova received $8,000 each.
The title match saw both Sin and Richard remain neck-and-neck until the final frame, where Sin's clutch performance secured the win. Richard, still in search of her first major title, earned $25,000 for her runner-up finish.
This win solidified Sin's dominance this season, earning her the PWBA Player of the Year award, making her the first international player to receive this honor.
The PWBA Tour Championship was the last 2024 PWBA Tour event. The 2024 PWBA season featured 13 events starting from May.
