After a golden performance in the European Women’s Bowling Championships 2024 Doubles Event on Monday, Germany continued its dominance today by claiming gold in the Trios event finals.

Besides Germany, Sweden and two Finnish trios competed for the EWC 2024 medals in the Trios event at Cristal Bowling in Wittelsheim, France.

In the semifinals, Germany’s Janin Ribguth (166 pins), Sabrina Laub (235 pins), and Franziska Czech (204 pins) defeated Finland’s Ani Jäntunen (178 pins), Eliisa Hiltunen (182 pins), and Peppi Konsteri (230 pins) with a final score of 605-590.

In another semifinal, Sweden’s trio—Nora Johansson, Josefin Hermansson, and Jenny Wegner—who secured the top spot in the Trios semifinals, faced the No. 4 seed, Finland’s Jenni Heino, Essi Pakarinen, and Sanna Oksanen. It was a close game, and the winner was uncertain until the very last shots were made. However, the Finns created a little sensation by winning 665-660.

In the final, Germany was more consistent in the end, claiming victory against Finland 705-683, earning Germany’s second EWC 2024 gold medal after their victory in the Doubles on Monday.
