Swede Alex Joki clinched his first-ever European Bowling Tour (EBT) title at the heart-pounding Motiv AIK International Tournament at Stockholm's Bowl-o-Rama.

In the semifinal Alex Joki overcame Daphne Tan with a score of 279-209, while the final showdown was nothing short of spectacular as Alex Joki went head-to-head with final stage 2 winner Luukas Väänänen from Finland, ultimately sealing the deal with a thrilling 277-242 victory.

It was Joki's first EBT event final and he bowled best when it mattered the most. In his last three games of the competition, Joki was near perfect, scoring 836 total, including his last game of the final stage 3, which guaranteed him a place in the stepfinals.

"It felt so good to win here at home in Stockholm in front of family and friends," Alex Joki said after the final. "Winning at the AIK Tournament is a big accomplishment. Claiming victory here brings a great sense of honor. It feels quite special to know that in the future, while training here, you'll get to see your name listed among the winners in the corridor."

335 bowling athletes competed in the Motiv AIK International Tournament this year.
