The PBA Elite League: Battle of the Brands is heating up, and 900 Global has earned their spot in the championship round. After a series of close matches during the prelims at Strobl Arena in Thunderbowl Lanes, Allen Park, Michigan, 900 Global came through when it mattered most.
They will now join Brunswick, Motiv, and Storm — the top three teams from the regular season — in Sunday’s championship round, airing live at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
The prelims started with Ebonite defeating DV8. However, Ebonite couldn’t keep the momentum going against Hammer, where Bill O’Neill delivered a 10th frame double to knock them out.
Hammer kept rolling, edging out Roto Grip in another close match after Anthony Simonsen missed a critical 10-pin in the 10th. The prelims came down to a tense final match between 900 Global and Hammer. It was a back-and-forth battle all the way to the 10th frame, but then, with the game on the line, Andrew Anderson delivered under pressure, throwing three strikes to seal the win for 900 Global.
