In the championship match, Marshall Kent maintained a steady lead against Anthony Simonsen until the 10th frame, when Kent missed the headpin, giving Simonsen a chance. Simonsen needed a double and four pins but he fell short.
With this win, Kent earned $100,000 and marked his second title of the season. He finished the season second in points, following EJ Tackett. seventh career PBA Tour title and his first major title.
Kent's path to victory included victories over Jason Sterner, Matt Ogle, EJ Tackett, and finally Anthony Simonsen in the championship match.
