Jaime Gonzalez from Colombia clinched the title at the 2023 Bowling Pro-Motion Tour QubicaAMF Masters in France.
In the bowling tournament in France, which takes players and spectators on a thrilling journey to four incredible bowling centers located in different cities, Gonzalez finished second in the qualification, securing the No. 2 seed in the stepladder finals.
In the semi-final game, Jaime Gonzalez defeated the No. 3 seed, Gregory Rius of France, with a score of 255-247, securing his place in the Bowling Pro-Motion Tour QubicaAMF Masters finals against the top-seeded Martin Larsen of Sweden.
Unfortunately, Larsen was forced to withdraw from the competition due to illness, resulting in Gonzalez being declared the champion of the Bowling Pro-Motion Tour QubicaAMF Masters.
It wasn't the only victory for the Colombian. Teaming up with Karen Kaergaard Nielsen from Denmark, Gonzalez secured a win in the Mixed Doubles event. In the finals, they defeated Héloïse Courtin and Halvar Hagen-Nilsen, who substituted for the unwell Martin Larsen, with a score of 200-164.
During the Teams event, Team Sirius, composed of Sofie Kaergaard Nielsen and Monica Schak Nielsen from Denmark, along with Louis Bonnet from Belgium and Austin Taylor from England, accomplished an incredible achievement. They secured victory in the final match by defeating the favored Team World with a score of 181-140, ultimately securing the Strike Tour series championship.
