The Czech Republic Bowling Championships 2025 wrapped up last weekend, bringing exciting bowling action and crowning new national champions in both the men’s and women’s divisions. The event followed a four-stage format, starting with a six-game qualification round, followed by another six games in the quarterfinals, and concluding with a seven-game Round Robin to determine the top four players for the final stepladder matches.
In the men’s category, Lukáš Jelínek led the standings going into the stepladder ans the No. 1 seed. Jaroslav Zapletal, No. 3 seed, made a strong run, defeating No. 4 seed Ondřej Trojek in a close opening match with a result of 229-216, and then eliminating No. 2 seed David Mojka 228-206 in the semifinal. In the final match, however, Jelínek proved too strong, sealing the 233-222 win and the 2025 national title.
The women’s division saw Věra Mašatová dominate the early stages, advancing to the stepladder finals as the No. 1 seed. No. 3 seed Zuzana Kvasničková rolled an impressive 244 to get past Ivana Fojtíková in the opening match (244-204) but couldn’t carry the momentum into the semifinal against No. 2 seed Ema Iwazawa (188-203). Iwazawa continued her climb by taking down Mašatová in the final (180-202), earning her first national championship title.
