Cherie Tan of Singapore claims her fourth career PWBA title at the season-opening Stockton Open

Cherie Tan claimed her fourth career PWBA Tour title by winning the 2023 PWBA Stockton Open. This win also marked the 100th PWBA title awarded since the tour's relaunch in 2015.

During the live BowlTV finals at Pacific Avenue Bowl on Saturday night, a 35-year-old left-handed bowler won against Jordan Richard from Maumee, Ohio, with a score of 237-205.

The 73 bowlers bowled 12 games on Friday for the spot in the top 24. Advancers bowled an additional six-game block on Saturday morning, with the top 12 competing in a final six-game round to determine the five bowlers for the stepladder.

Five European bowlers participated in the event.

Daria Pająk of Poland finished fifth in the first round of the Stepladder finals after Lindsay Boomershine of Brigham City, Utah, finished with eight strikes in a row to erase an early deficit and take the win with a result of 238-208.

Birgit Noreiks of Germany finished sixth, only a few pins away from the cut. Verity Crawley of England finished in the twentieth place, while Latvia's Diana Zavjalova ended 27th and Peppi Konsteri of Finland finished in 35th in her first ever PWBA event.

The 2023 PWBA Tour will continue in Washington, as the PWBA GoBowling! Spokane Open will take place on May 11-13.
