35-year-old professional bowler Brandon Novak from Chillicothe, Ohio, has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

The right-hander pro bowler pleaded guilty to 15 charges related to child pornography, including illegal use of a minor in nudity material and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. Ross County Common Pleas Court Judge sentenced Novak to 4 years and 11 months of prison on each count. Novak will serve all 15 charges concurrently and will have to register as a Tier II sex offender, requiring him to register every 90 days for life.

The investigation into Novak's involvement with child pornography began in February 2023, when a complaint was received from Facebook linking his account to such material. A subsequent search warrant executed at Novak's residence led to the discovery of evidence implicating him in the possession and distribution of child pornography. Novak initially claimed ignorance but later admitted to knowingly purchasing and concealing such material.

Novak, who began bowling professionally in 2012, has had previous legal issues, including violating a temporary protective order filed by his ex-girlfriend in 2022. He was sentenced to jail time for these incidents.
