England's Dominic Barrett and Denmark's Mai Ginge Jensen win the European Bowling Tour (EBT) Masters 2023.
The EBT Masters 2023 final was held during the 17th Storm San Marino Open on Wednesday, 12th of July.
The top 8 athletes of the 2022 European Bowling Tour participated in the event.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Mai Ginge Jensen meant business. During the qualification round, Jensen unleashed her bowling prowess, collecting 1838 pins total with an impressive average of 229.8. Leading her closest rival by 161 pins, she gained much needed confidence before the finals. In the final on Wednesday, Mai Ginge Jensen fired 984 total (213,215,277,279), to earn the well-deserved title of EBT Masters.
On the men's side, Sweden's Pontus Andersson initially claimed the top spot in the qualifying round, edging out England's Dominic Barrett by a small margin. However, it was Barrett who proved his mettle in the face of tough situation. In the final, Dominic Barrett collected 918 total (244,199,247,228) to win 2023 EBT Masters for the first time in his long career by only 32 pins.
