A highly anticipated tournament has finally started - Balkan Challenge Open 2023 Day 1 is done! In this article you can find a summary of all the events and highlights that happened.


On a first day 38 athletes from different sides of Europe have already played their first games at 'Joy Station', Sofia.


After first three squads have finished, a leader of Group A is Mariana Todorova Meteksinova (Bulgaria) with 1072 total (214.4 avg.), while Tsvetelina Dimitrova (Bulgaria) is in the lead of Group B with 926 total (185.2 avg.).

In addition to Singles qualification, Doubles are happening too. Currently Georgi Bozhilov (Bulgaria) and Georgi Deliyski (Bulgaria) have a hold on a first place with a solid 1909 total (190.9 avg.). Second place at the moment belongs to Georgi Dimov (Bulgaria) and Plamen Stanchev (Bulgaria) with 1905 total (190.5 avg.).


Squads 4-6 will be played today.


More than a hundred bowling players from all over Europe will stand in a fight for a title and €20,000 prize fund.
