Anneli Blomqvist Qualifies for PWBA Southern Indiana Open

Sweden's Anneli Blomqvist has secured her spot in the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour Southern Indiana Open after a strong performance in Thursday’s pre-tournament qualifier.


Blomqvist tallied a total score of 1272, averaging 212 over six games, earning the 10th spot among the 15 bowlers who advanced.


Leading the qualifier was Jenna Williams from Florida, who posted an impressive 1436 pinfall with an average exceeding 239. Close behind her was Megan Duff with a score of 1428. Avery Domaguin (1395), Olivia Farwell (1323), and Gazmine Mason (1310) rounded out the top five.


The remaining qualifiers advancing to the main event are Brittney Turcotte, Crystal Elliott, Melissa Kammerer, Lauren Tomaszewski, Madison Janack, Daphne Tan, Cassidy Courey, Giselle Poss, and Olivia Komorowski.



With the pre-tournament qualifiers complete, 85 bowlers will compete in the main event, starting later on Friday. The competition will feature two six-game qualifying blocks, followed by another six-game block on Saturday. The field will be cut to 25 after 12 games and then to 12 after the third block. The top five will then advance to the stepladder finals on Saturday night determine the champion.
