This week, the 2024 PBA Tour Trials will gather over 90 bowlers from around the world as they compete for 12 exempt status spots on the 2025 PBA Tour. These coveted exemptions will guarantee priority entry into all PBA Tour events next year and eligibility for the PBA Elite League draft.
PBA Tour Trials Format
The event begins with a pre-tournament qualifier on Monday, where competitors will bowl two six-game rounds to finalize the main 90-player field. Over the next four days, bowlers will face off at various Bowlero centers in the Chicago area. Each day will feature two six-game rounds on newly designed PBA oil patterns, ranging from 35 to 47 feet in length.
At the end of 48 games, the 12 players with the highest total pinfall will secure exempt status for the 2025 PBA Tour.
