Spader Dam are champions of the Swedish Ladies Elitserien once again. In Sunday’s deciding match, the Helsingborg-based team completed a comeback to defeat regular season leaders Team X-Calibur BK 12–8 and secure their 19th national title—and fifth in a row.

The final between these two teams demanded whole three matches to decide the champion. After dropping the opening match, Spader Dam bounced back with a dominant 15–5 victory in match 2. In the third and final match, they stayed sharp from the first ball to the last.

Team X-Calibur, who had chosen to return to the shorter 41-foot oil pattern that helped them win Game 1, struggled to repeat that performance in Game 3. Spader Dam immediately took control, winning the first series 4–1 and carrying that momentum into a tight 3–2 second series win.

Both teams raised their level in the third series, but Spader Dam edged out another 3–2 series win. That left them needing just one more point in the final game to seal the championship.

Team X-Calibur didn’t give up and kept the pressure on, but when it mattered most, Spader Dam’s Jenny Wegner delivered a streak of seven strikes to lock in the clinching lane point alongside Katrin Jansson. Even though X-Calibur took the last series 3–2, it wasn’t enough to overturn Spader Dam’s lead.

Over in the men’s Elitserien, Team Clan took the title after dethroning the defending champions, Team Pergamon, with a 2–0 sweep.
