Malaysia’s Hafiz Zainuddin continued his great season by winning the 3rd Sonic International Classic 2025. The tournament was held at Sonic Bowl @ SAFRA Yishun in Singapore from April 23–26, 2025.

Zainuddin faced a tough challenge in the stepladder finals. Singapore’s Darren Au forced a second game by beating Zainuddin 212-205 in the first match. But Zainuddin came back strong, rolling a 248 to Au’s 235 to secure the win. For his victory, Zainuddin earned the €12,000 top prize.

This win also marked Zainuddin’s second big title of the year. Earlier in 2025, he won the 11th DIBC Open Bowling Tournament.

The 3rd Sonic International Classic featured a prize fund of €67,300 and attracted many strong bowlers from the region. Players competed in three blocks of six games each over three days. The top 48 bowlers moved on to the Masters Finals, with the best 12 getting a direct spot into Round 3. Bowlers ranked 13 to 44, plus four from the Desperado Squad, battled in Round 2 for a chance to join them. The final four then fought for the title in the Stepladder Finals, where the No. 1 seed had to be defeated twice.

Zainuddin’s win also continues Malaysia’s strong run at the Sonic International Classic, making it three wins in a row for the country.
