Zavala and Rahman Share Lead After Qualifying at 2025 PWBA Cleveland Open

The 2025 PWBA Cleveland Open is off to a high-scoring start, with Stephanie Zavala of California and Malaysia’s Siti Rahman tied at the top after Wednesday’s two rounds of qualifying. Both bowlers finished with 12-game totals of 2,720 at Yorktown Lanes in Parma Heights, Ohio, averaging over 226.
Close behind are Kelly Kulick (2,699), Jillian Martin (2,666), and Rocio Restrepo (2,653), who closed up the top 5. Other names advancing to Thursday’s round-robin match play include Olivia Komorowski, Diandra Asbaty, Julia Bond, Crystal Elliott, Alexis Runk, Estefania Cobo from Puerto Rico, Mei Lan Cheah from Malaysia, Eliisa Hiltunen from Finland, Dasha Kovalova from Ukraine, Nora Luana Norkamal from Malaysia, and Ashly Galante.
The day featured two perfect 300 games, rolled by Asbaty and Nora Luana Norkamal during Game 5, as the scoring pace remained high across both squads.
The top 16 players will return Thursday at 9 a.m. Eastern for the first eight games of round-robin match play, followed by a second block at 3 p.m. Eastern. The top five will advance to the stepladder finals at 7 p.m. Eastern to determine the first champion of the PWBA Summer Series.
The Summer Series continues Friday with the PWBA BowlTV Open, followed by the PWBA Rock ‘n’ Roll Open on Monday. Each event features a unique format, and all rounds will be streamed live on BowlTV.
