On Thursday, four qualification squads of the Storm Lucky Larsen Masters 2024 took place at Olympia Bowling in Helsingborg, Sweden.
In Squad 16, England's Dominic Barrett scored 1468 to secure the win, and with seven qualification squads remaining, he moved into third place in the overall standings.
Squad 17 featured what was likely the largest group of top PBA and PWBA stars in the competition so far, including Anthony Simonsen, Jesper Svensson, EJ Tackett, AJ Johnson, Verity Crawley, Danielle McEwan, Kyle Troup, and many others. Although Sweden's Jesper Svensson bowled a 300 game and finished with a total score of 1425, it was Niko Oksanen who claimed the top spot with a total of 1434, placing him in the top 10 of the qualification standings.
In Squad 18, France's Gregory Rius came close to a perfect game twice, scoring 289 and 276 in games 1 and 4, respectively. His impressive performance earned him the squad win with a total score of 1479, placing him second overall.
Squad 19 belonged to Italy's Erik Davolio, who scored 1443, instantly placing him in sixth position overall.

Storm Lucky Larsen Masters is the sole Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour event outside the U.S. Participants has a chance to win not only a signature Kosta Boda crystal trophy, but a PBA Tour title as well.
Over 300-player field, including dozens of bowling idols from the PBA Tour such as EJ Tackett, Kyle Troup, or Anthony Simonsen, will fill the Olympia Bowling venue from August 23rd to September 1st.
