Xu Zhe Jia of Taiwan secured the Open Division title at the 2nd Formosa International Bowling Classic 2025. In the final, he defeated Malaysia’s Syaffique Ikhwan in a two-match championship battle.


After losing the first game 203-225, Xu responded with a strong 257-192 win in the second match to claim the championship. The 29-year-old champion, a 2019 Asian Championships silver medalist, earned nearly €10,000 for his victory.


Malaysia’s Syaffique Ikhwan reached the final after eliminating compatriot Muhammad Danial Abu Samah and Singapore’s Cherie Tan in the stepladder rounds. Tan finished third and received €2,800 along with a €1,100 bonus as the top female bowler.


In the Graded Masters, Open Division runner-up Syaffique Ikhwan claimed the title after defeating top-seed Chen Kuan Lun of Taiwan 222-159. He won €4,200, while Chen settled for €2,250.


Singapore’s Hairon Bin Awang won the Senior Masters title, while Taiwan’s Teng Jo Yu triumphed in the Youth U22 division.


A total of 125 bowlers competed in the Open Division, with players from across Asia battling for top honors at Dongdong Bowl.
