The 2024 Bowlzone Masters concluded last weekend in Bulgaria, with notable victories in both the Men's and Women's categories. Darin Trayanov claimed victory in the Men's category, while Radka Dangova emerged victorious in the Women's competition.
The Bowlzone Masters format featured a round-robin group stage, followed by round-robin semifinals and finals, with each match in the group stage played in a 3-out-of-5 format.
In the Men's category, the top eight players in Bulgaria were divided into two groups of four. Players competed on three different oil patterns: 35 ft, 41 ft, and 45 ft. After the group stage, Trayanov secured second place, advancing to the semifinals where he faced his teammate Todor Lichev. After a tough, high-scoring 3-2 match, Trayanov moved to the final, where he defeated Lyuben Levicharov 3-1 to claim the Bowlzone Masters trophy.
Trayanov also claimed the Bulgarian Cup title and was named Bulgaria's Player of the Year, marking a successful end to his 2024 season.
In the Women's category, the top four players first competed in a round-robin group stage to determine the two finalists. 2023 Bowlzone Masters winner Mariana Meteksinova won all three of her matches, while Radka Dangova lost only once. Both advanced to the final, where Dangova defeated Meteksinova 3-1 to take home the Bowlzone Masters title.
Despite her loss in the final, Meteksinova was named Player of the Year and was awarded the Bulgarian Cup.
