The stage is set for the semifinals of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Striking Against Breast Cancer (SABC) Mixed Doubles Tournament.


The event, held at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, has seen intense competition leading up to this point.


Leading the pack from Friday's rounds are Juliana Botero and Alec Keplinger, with a combined score of 3,205. Erin McCarthy and Andrew Anderson closely follow with 3,160, while Karsyn Lukosius and Sean Riccardi hold third place with 3,142.


Rounding out the top five are Hope Gramly and Kris Prather (3,128), and Liz Kuhlkin and Richard Teece of England (3,077).


Other notable pairs making it to the top 10 include:

  • Latvia's Diana Zavjalova and England's Dominic Barrett - 3,050

  • Jordan Richard and Frank Snodgrass - 3,048

  • Crystal Elliott and Francois Lavoie - 3,046

  • Danielle McEwan and Anthony Simonsen - 3,039


Marissa Allison and Casey Cohagan of Painesville, Ohio, secured the final spot for the semifinals, edging into 40th place with a combined total of 2,914, just two pins ahead of the 41st team.


The semifinals begins today, with the top 12 teams advancing to the finals. The finals consist of 12 games of round-robin match play, with the champions being crowned after the last six games.
