Addie Ophelders, the president of European Bowling Federation, has resigned from his duties with immediate effect, Vice-president Valgeir Gudbjartsson informed later today.
Resignation was causd by health issues.
Addie Ophelders was first elected into the Federation Internationale des Quilleurs Europe Zone (FIQ-EZ) (as it was called at that time) in 1985 as vice president. After that he was elected as president at FIQ-EZ congress in 1989.
Vice-president Valgeir Gudbjartsson will be acting as interim President until EBF Congress in October 2023.
