The future of European bowling was on full display on Saturday as the BowlingGP 4 Teams Youth 2025 kicked off at Plaza Bowling Reims Thillois in Thillois, France.


The event, brand new for 2025, gathers youth bowlers from across Europe for a weekend of team, doubles, and individual competitions. With divisions for Under 14, Under 17, Under 21, and Under 25, and a flexible team structure that allows any gender and age combinations, the tournament is all about giving young athletes a platform to shine.


Action-packed Start with Team and Doubles Play


Saturday opened with the first round of team qualification, where each team of four players bowled first three of six qualification games.


After the first 3 qualification games, BCO Courbevoie Crouzat, consisting of Thomas Laymet-Carre, EYC2025 Masters champion Timéo Dujardin, Yaari Lapid, and Anais Crouzat is in the lead with 2963 total. Team K 1 finished second with a total of 2891, while BSC Wolves Saint Maximin Creil took third place with 2862.

After the team games, attention quickly shifted to the mixed doubles competition. Each doubles team bowled eight games, aiming to land in the top four and advance to the semifinals.



Doubles Semifinals and Finals — A Battle of Nerves


The semifinals featured strong matchups between players of two teams - BCO Courbevoie Crouzat and TEAM K. Both doubles from each team reached the semifinals, where matches were played in the exciting Baker format, creating fast-paced and dramatic action.

After intense semifinals, both Team K doubles advanced to the finals, where Maximilien Karczewski and Jordan Baron-Mouhet of TEAM K 1 A came out on top, defeating Tom Levant and Arthur Angevin 281-277 to become the first-ever BowlingGP 4 Teams Youth 2025 Doubles champions.


The first place prize was up for grabs until the last frame, but TEAM K 1 A teamwork, focus, and clutch shots in key moments earned them the title.

What’s Next


The excitement is far from over. Today, the tournament continues with the final three games of team qualification, then, advancing teams will battle it out in the match play round for a spot in the semis. The Teams competition will be followed by the highly anticipated All-Event finals. The top eight male and female bowlers based on total scores throughout teams and doubles qualification, will battle in one-game match play to decide the All-Event champions.
