After a week of intense qualifications, the Balkan Challenge 2023 is left with only three squads vying for the top spot.
During the seventh day, the competition saw an influx of more than 20 new players, bringing the total number of athletes to 118.
Among the notable performances in the 'A' Group, Alexandru Arbanas from Romania claimed the fifth position with an impressive score of 1101 pins (220.2 average). David Barak from Slovakia secured the seventh spot, closely behind Arbanas, with a total of 1097 pins (219.4 average).
However, it was Golan Levi from Israel who continued to dominate the leaderboard with an outstanding score of 1130 pins (226.0 average), firmly holding onto the top spot.
In Group 'B', the rankings saw significant changes on the seventh day. Gheorghiu Cristi from Romania made a remarkable climb, reaching 967 pins (193.4 average) and securing the fourth position.
Lidija Zaletel from Slovenia closely followed, claiming the third spot with 968 pins, just one pin ahead of Cristi. The remaining top players in the category maintained their respective positions.
The 'Doubles' category experienced a flurry of changes in the rankings. The duo of Alexandru Arbanas (Romania) and David Barak (Slovakia) emerged as the new leaders, surging ahead with a substantial score of 2185 pins (218.5 average).
Another formidable pair, Roei Yehene and Golan Levi from Israel, secured a spot in the top three with a total of 2120 pins (212.0 average).
Lefteris Montsenigos and Nikos Serelis from Greece rounded out the top four, achieving 2102 pins (210.2 average).
